  3. Enter client details: The company or person you're billing
  4. Add line items: Describe each service, the quantity (hours, days, or units), and your rate
  5. Add tax if applicable: Select VAT, GST, or your country's sales tax rate
  6. Print or save as PDF: Use your browser's print dialog to save as PDF or print on paper

What Should a Freelance Invoice Include?

A proper invoice needs: a unique invoice number, your contact details, the client's details, a description of services, the amount owed, the due date, and the payment method. This tool generates clean, professional invoices that meet international invoicing standards.

Invoice vs Receipt

An invoice is a request for payment — you send it before the client pays. A receipt is proof of payment — you issue it after receiving funds. Always issue an invoice first, then a receipt once payment clears. This helps with tax records and client relationships.
